All guests at Alaska West are required to have a current Alaska fishing license. We strongly recommend that you purchase your license online prior to your trip.
Here’s how to buy your license online.
- Go to this page on the ADF&G web site.
- Enter your personal information and click Continue at the bottom of the page.
- Click Sport Fishing & Hunting License.
- Follow the instructions from there.
- You’ll receive your license in the mail, but it wouldn’t hurt to print out a copy, just in case!
Fishing License Notes
- Assuming you don’t live in Alaska, you need to purchase a Nonresident 7 day Sport Fish license.
- If you plan on targeting king salmon, even if you don’t intend to retain any kings, you need to purchase a King Salmon Stamp.
- The Start Date should be the date you arrive at Alaska West, and you should pick a start time of 12:00 Noon.
