It’s been a whirlwind at Andros South these last few weeks. We first hosted Raz Reid & his group of anglers, who, after a few years, have become family. Morry celebrated his 84th birthday with us & the ladies in the kitchen whipped him up a beautiful cake & graced us with their lovely singing voices.
Our mornings were filled with dancing in the courtyard before heading out to the boats. The fishing… well, it was awesome! We even had some topwater action when a bonefish jumped out of the water to take a fly that was hanging a few inches off a mangrove branch.
The following week we had the crew from Tail Fly Fishing Magazine. We worked on our casting and had George take videos & break them down step by step. It’s amazing how much you can improve with just a few simple instructions. It’s never too late to get out and take a lesson…. actually, that sounds like a good present for the upcoming holidays! Big shoutout to Joe & George for an awesome week!
One of the highlights of the week was Andy’s epic ‘cuda on the fly! I’d try to relay the story here, but it would never do it justice. Let’s just say it was a real mess, but Norman & Andy were able to land this 4ft ‘cuda with a rod in one hand and the reel in the other. ‘Cuda steaks for dinner!
