We here at Deneki Outdoors are celebrating and honoring all women during Women’s History Month and for International Women’s Day. We’d like to honor all women and especially those who contribute to the fishing and outdoor industry.
One woman, we’d like to particularly honor is Joan Salvato Wulff. The First Lady of Fly Fishing, and Fishing Hall of Famer, Joan Salvato Wulff’s contributions to the fishing and outdoor industry are beyond immeasurable. Writer, Instructor, Entrepreneur, Ms. Salvato Wulff has opened up the flood gates for not only women, but the all in the fishing industry.
Thank you, Joan Salvato Wulff. Your legacy will forever be honored and remembered. For an in-depth look into Joan Salvato Wulff’s life and accomplishments, please read this piece from the American Museum of Fly Fishing.
