Welcome to Our New Digs!

If you’re seeing this post, all of last night’s internet magic worked, and we’re up and running on our new site!

Have a look around – we hope you like it.  We’ve combined our blog with our old separate sites with information about our lodges.  We hope this new format to be a lot more readable, and to allow a lot less jumping around between separate sites.

Here are some new features you can check out.

  • All of our posts are ‘tagged’ now.  If you look at the bottom of each post page, you’ll see the tags that apply to the post that you’re on.  If you just got done reading a post that’s tagged with, say ‘Spey’ and ‘Rainbow Trout’, you can click either of the tags to see more posts with the same tag.
  • There are tabs on the top of the page that will take you directly to a whole bunch of information about our lodges and our fisheries.
  • Each of our posts is ‘thumbnailed’ now – you get to see a quick peek at the post on pages like our main blog page, the archive pages for each month, and the pages showing posts in each category (like ‘Andros South’).

On your first visit to this new site, you’re going to get our email newsletter pop-up form again (even if you saw it on our old site).  Sorry about that!  You’ll only see it once here.

Thanks for sticking with us through this transition.  We’d love to hear any feedback you’ve got on our new site, either in the comment form below, or by email at info@deneki.com.

Back to all the talk about fishing!

    Hey Andrew,

Was looking around and just wanted to say the new site looks great. Look forward to looking around more, but wanted to let you know it looks great. Best of luck with the site!

    Cheers,

    Rich

Hmm. I’m not crazy about the new design. Is there a way to look at the blog like it was previously? I mean, inline without having to click on the snippets to read the entire post?

Don’t get me wrong, it looks great, but as far as efficiency, it takes longer to get to the good stuff.

Thanks very much for your input!

If you use an RSS reader (like Google Reader), you can point it to
    http://www.deneki.com/feed
, and that will allow you to see all the recent posts in their entirety.

We’ve also taken this feedback to heart and will start posting the current post in full right on the main blog page, without a need to click through to read the whole post. Unfortunately we’re not able to do that with the previous 8 posts that are shown on the main landing page. Sorry about that!
