Feeding the Tarpon at Robbie’s

Snack time.

There are actually some fisheries that we love, where we don’t operate lodges!  One of them is in the Florida Keys.  Though not particularly remote, the fishery in the Keys is one-of-a-kind, particularly as it relates to tarpon.

If you’re in the Keys, make sure to stop in at Robbie’s, just south of Islamorada.  $1 gets you on the dock and $3 gets you a bucket of pilchards.  It’s pretty incredible…let’s just say you’ll never seen giant tarpon stacked up like this anywhere else.

Just found your blog, thumbs up!!! I stopped by Robbie's 3 weeks ago and the tarpon faked me out every time. There are some monsters swimming around. I fly fish for steelhead in upstate NY and would love some of that action up in your neck of the woods.
