Deneki Outdoors Family of Lodges: Andros to Alaska, Bones to Bows

We are blessed at Deneki Outdoors to get to fish in some of the most beautiful places in the world, as well as the places that produce the most fish.  This year, we had an epic trip to Andros South, where we had our best day ever, bonefishing, and we got to share this special place in the world with some good friends.  However, even better than the fishing, we got to be personally involved in the transition of management at Andros South Lodge, where we now, for the first time, have a Bahamian family managing Andros South Lodge.  We are very excited about this and are already thrilled and impressed with their enthusiasm and dedication to their roles.

Rosalie, Phillip, Ethlyn

Ethlyn, Rosalie, and Phil have been with the Deneki family for many years, and now they get to “lead the ship” at Andros South. We are already hearing “rave reviews!”  They are bringing the Bahamian culture to the forefront at Andros South Lodge – even bringing in a local band to perform at the lodge. And while the fishing has always been superb and will continue to be so, they are taking the service and guest interaction at Andros South to the next level. We are very excited about the future of Andros South Lodge.  As the Bahamas season comes to a close, we are grateful for another successful year there and look forward to what the next season will bring, which we know will be many “bones,” good times around the fire, some sun and rum, and great fishing stories to last a lifetime.

Team Andros South Lodge

As a family, we are now transitioning into our Alaska season, literally going from one end of the world to the other.  Bones, sand, sun, and rum will be replaced with salmon, rainbows, mountains, and tundra.  We are eagerly anticipating a wonderful season with many fish, good times shared by friends and family, and the opportunity to welcome back old guests and meet new ones.

Deneki Outdoors is a “family” of lodges, and it was 10 years ago that our family acquired Deneki Outdoors and incorporated our “flagship lodge,” Rapids Camp Lodge, into the Deneki family.  We want to thank everyone at Deneki who works so hard every day to make the lodges what they are and ensure that guests have the “trip of a lifetime.”  We’d also like to thank our loyal guests who have continued to visit Deneki lodges for many years, and we hope you continue to do so for many more.  We appreciate your trust in us.  And if you haven’t been to a Deneki lodge, we hope one day you will. No matter what you desire, Deneki can deliver.  You can fight a big bonefish all the way down to your backing while peacefully floating along the Caribbean flats or fight a silver salmon as you watch it jump acrobatically out of the water on the Kanektok River, and late season in Alaska provides a chance to catch a record Alaska rainbow trout while swinging on the Naknek. There is always a new adventure and another chance to create a great story with old and new friends.

Whatever your plans are for the upcoming season and year, Deneki wishes you well, safe travels, and tight lines.
