Andros South Lodge Introduction

The Bahamas, “The Bonefish Capital of the World.”

This page gives a short overview of Andros South, our world-class bonefishing lodge in the Bahamas. There’s much more information about all these topics available on our website – but this page and the links at the bottom are a great place to start.

Introduction

Andros South is located on South Andros Island.  We fish for bonefish, barracuda, sharks, and more, and we occasionally have opportunities for shots at permit and tarpon.  Guests stay at our lodge and go fishing with our guides out of flats skiffs.

Hellsbay Boats

Our focus at Andros South Lodge is on providing the best fishing experience possible – an incredible fishery, great guides, and excellent service for a remarkable fishing experience– in an environment that we describe as ‘comfortable but casual.’ We are not a ‘luxury lodge.’

South Andros Fishery

The fishery on South Andros is huge, varied, and productive. We fish 4 parts of the island – tidal creeks on the East Side, hundreds of small keys off the southern tip of the island, the West Side, known for large fish, and inland ponds and creeks in the middle of the island.

Some areas tend to hold large groups of fish while others are home to larger fish in smaller groups – novice and expert anglers alike have a great time on the flats of South Andros. We have lots of opportunities for both wading and poling, depending on your preferences and conditions.

Rates & Booking

We often hear from our guests that Andros South Lodge is a tremendous value in the world of bonefishing. Once you’ve come to experience the fishing and hospitality from our team here at Andros South Lodge, we think you’ll agree.

We offer trips of any length trips starting at 3 nights and 2 days of fishing for $2,500.  Our scheduling is extremely flexible – you can arrive or depart any day of the week, subject to availability. We offer fall and regular season rates.

Frequent Angler Reward – the ‘FAR’ is a $500 discount based on a week-long stay.  If an angler books a trip at any one of our lodges ( Alaska West Lodge, Andros South Lodge, or Rapids Camp Lodge) and then books another trip at a different lodge (in a consecutive season), they are eligible for the discount.  Join us in Alaska and then plan a week-long trip to the Bahamas, and you will receive $500 off the second trip.  Book a trip back to Alaska in a consecutive season and receive another $500 discount.
