Spey Clave: Two Hand Alaska Presented By Mossy’s Fly Shop

Every year, the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge draws over 1.3 million visitors, making it Alaska’s most-visited refuge and a true crossroads for anglers and outdoor enthusiasts from around the world.. On June 7, 2025, Mossy’s Fly Shop brings the Spey Clave to this iconic landscape- a gathering designed for those who want more than just another day on the river.

If you’re in Alaska and looking to sharpen your two-handed casting, network with experienced anglers, or immerse yourself in Alaska’s vibrant fishing community, this is the event to mark on your calendar. The Spey Clave runs from 10 AM to 5 PM at the Russian River Ferry Crossing parking lot, right in the heart of the refuge’s legendary fishery. Expect hands-on demonstrations, expert instruction, and the chance to test-drive the latest gear, all against a backdrop of nearly two million acres of wild, biodiverse terrain.

As Mike Brown, owner of Mossy’s Fly Shop, puts it: “Our priority is about successful fishing.” That philosophy shapes every aspect of the Clave, from the approachable instruction to the honest advice you’ll get on the water. Whether you’re a veteran with a two-handed rod or a newcomer eager to learn, you’ll leave with actionable skills and connections that last well beyond the event. I hear the DJ is groovy too.

Bring your curiosity, your questions, and your waders. The Two Hand Alaska Spey Clave is waiting.

Dates and Times:

Saturday, June 7. 2025 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Free to anyone who attends!
