Flying to Alaska Just Got Easier for Summer 2024

You live on the East Coast of the U.S. and have booked a fly fishing trip to Rapids Camp Lodge or Alaska West Lodge in Alaska. Now, you have to figure out how to get there. Luckily, travel to Alaska from the East Coast has become much easier. United Airlines and Alaska Airlines will offer direct flights to Anchorage, Alaska, from major airports on the East Coast.

Alaska Airlines – Starting June 13, 2024, Alaska Airlines will offer a direct, nonstop route from New York’s John F. Kenedy International Airport to Ted Stevens International Airport in Anchorage, Alaska. This is the only direct flight from JFK to Anchorage, Alaska.

United Airlines – Since Alaska Travel is on the rise, United Airlines has introduced a new route to Anchorage, Alaska, from Washington D.C.’s Washington-Dulles International Airport.

Both Flights are approximately 8 hours long and will provide a convenient and efficient way for travelers to reach Alaska from the East Coast. Eliminating the hassle of connecting flights and creating a way to reduce the chance of luggage misplacement via transfer will make travel much more convenient and reduce travel time for East Coast residents wanting to visit Alaska.

Furthermore, the introduction of direct flights from major airports on the East Coast to Anchorage, Alaska, means travelers now have more flexibility in scheduling their trips.
