Travel Safely to Alaska

Amidst all the health concerns due to COVID-19 traveling can be challenging at best, especially with all the constantly changing updates and mandates. Keeping up can be difficult. If you are planning on to Alaska for any reason, you need to be in the know.

Friend of Deneki, Heather Hodson, with United Women on the Fly who recently traveled to Alaska to fish with us has some helpful tips and things to consider when coming to Alaska.

Keep in mind, the regulations are constantly changing. It behooves you to check up on changes. You can do that here at the Alaska COVID Travel website.

One recent change the State of Alaska announced on July 28th, 2020, beginning August 11, 2020, all non-residents must arrive with a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours before arrival. Testing will no longer be available for non-residents when they arrive in Alaska. Residents of Alaska can still be tested at the airport upon arrival.

Take these tips into consideration to make your Alaskan adventure as smooth as possible! Thank you, Heather, for your contributions. You can find Heather’s post here.
