Our friends from the Save Bristol Bay team at Trout Unlimited wanted us to share the following message.
“We’ve come to a critical point in our efforts to the stop the proposed Pebble mine.
The President will decide if Pebble will get its key permit to advance in Bristol Bay this year. It’s up to us to make sure he knows that people across the country and across the political spectrum are opposed to Pebble due to the risks it poses to Bristol Bay.
Please join our efforts to tell President Trump that Bristol Bay is the wrong place for Pebble mine.
The Army Corps of Engineers has heard from us. Our Members of Congress have heard from us, and they will continue to. But we also need to directly tell the President that granting this permit to the Pebble Limited Partnership is unacceptable. President Trump needs to know that Pebble mine would negatively impact Americans, our economy and an irreplaceable landscape and resource we collectively value.
We will stop at nothing to ensure that the people, fish and jobs of Bristol Bay get the protection they deserve. Please stand with us this year as we tell President Trump that Pebble has no place here.”
