Global Rescue

Alaska West Week 5, 2019

As you know, we love traveling the world with our fly rods in hand.  We are not just talking about our own lodges here, fly fishing travel is what we do. Fly fishing is a vessel for us to experience remote places ranging from the tundra to tropical white sandy beaches.  Throughout our years of destination travel, we have learned just how important it is to always have travel insurance.  Similar to the fishing itself, when traveling to remote destinations, there are always variables outside of your control.  Having travelers insurance is a great way to ensure that you are protected incase the unthinkable happens.

One company we recommend all our guests check out is Global Rescue. They are most well known for their world wide medical evacuation support but they also offer signature travel insurance which you can add onto your membership.  This allows you to be protected from the unexpected while on the trip, and also ensures that the actual value of your trip is protected if something goes wrong.  I have personally had a trip to Christmas Island get canceled because the weather would not allow the one flight a week to the island to take off.  Already disappointed about not being able to fish the atoll, I was beyond grateful that I had purchased Global Rescue and at least was not out all the money I had spent to book my trip.  Global Rescue is tailor made for the adventurous traveler, check it out before your next trip!
