Good wading boots are a must-have when stomping around our flats at Andros South. Even if you’re planning on fishing from the boat most of the day, you never know when you might need to strap on the flats boots and go for a walk. However, boat space fills up quickly and it’s easy to leave the boots at home with the idea of one less wet item for the boat bag. Here’s an extremely simple way to cart your wet, sand filled wading boots around that we picked up recently from one of our guests.
Grab a cheap, ‘key chain grade’, carabiner and hook the two pull tabs of each boot together. The boots will always stay together when carting them to and from the dock. Also, once the day is out, hose them down and hang them up by the carabiner to dry.
Sure, we may not be reinventing the modern fly line here, but try out this super simple tip. Every little bit helps.
