RIO Fly Line Cleaning Towelette

Last week we ran a post about the thorough, effective way to clean your fly lines.  Today we present you with the ‘quick and dirty’ method.  If you’re a ‘throw all the gear in a bag the night before the trip’ kind of angler, today’s post is for you.

RIO’s Fly Line Cleaning Towelettes are individually packaged, pre-coated cloths that provide an easy way to get the gunk off your fly line.  Open the package, fold the cloth over your line, strip it through the cloth a couple of times, and enjoy the benefits (better shooting, better floating) of a cleaner fly line.

Do they work as well as the ‘sink and soap’ method?  No, of course not.  But they’re cheap and small and really easy to stick into all your various gear bags, and they’re much, much better than no cleaning at all.
