Our Best Customers Know Enough to Know the Difference

King Salmon Abshagen
This guy, for example, has been around.

A recent look through our bookings for the upcoming year revealed something about our best customers.  Guests who fish with us a lot – joining us year after year, often at more than one of our lodges – have seen enough other fishing lodges that they really appreciate what we do.  They know enough to know the difference.

What does that mean?  Well, destination fishing trips sometimes don’t turn out how you’d like them to turn out.  Whether there weren’t a lot of fish around, or the guides weren’t up to snuff, or the operation didn’t run very smoothly, traveling anglers’ expectations are not always met.  Running remote fishing lodges is hard!  It’s easy to say ‘we have the best guides’ or ‘our fish are really hot’ or ‘we’ll cater to your every need’, but often reality doesn’t meet those promises.

That’s always been one of our biggest challenges in getting the word out about our lodges.  The way we’re different is that we do what we say we’re going to do, and the fishing really is the way we say it is (well, of course, fishing can be tough sometimes but stick with us here).  Our best customers have seen that things aren’t always how they’re said to be at a lot of other lodges, and having found us, they’ve stuck with us, and they fish with us a lot.  That was a pretty cool thing to realize.

This is not at all to say that we don’t love taking people fishing for the first time, or showing them a great time on their ‘once in a lifetime’ trip.  We really value our less experienced guests too.

It’s just gratifying to know that the anglers who know the most about fishing lodges choose to fish with us the most.  Thanks, Deneki anglers – we really appreciate it.

Experience the difference at one of our lodges. Drop us a line – we’d love for you to join the family.
