Congratulations to Mike Walsh for landing this big, beautiful chinook salmon at BC West last week!
Mike has been fishing the Dean with us for three years in hopes of getting a beauty like this one. Three years? Well you see, fish like this get hooked pretty regularly on the Dean, but getting one to the beach is quite a feat. They’re big strong fish in really heavy current, and as fly anglers the odds are seriously stacked against us. Not everybody is up for it.
But Mike fought the good fight. He did his part and Lady Luck smiled on him – and we couldn’t be happier for him.
