Chile West Watercraft

Boat #1: low water and small spaces
Photo: Chris Price

At Chile West, the mobility of our program allows us to travel to remote locations where the variety of water is pretty much unlimited. We fish big rivers to little streams and after years of experience and exploration, we determined that we need watercraft that can go anywhere and float anything. Whether that means hike it in, drag it in, drop it in or drive it in, we want to be able to fish it!

Boat #2: big water and lots of room

Chile West owns four watercraft in two sizes and styles.

  • For small rivers and low water we use a 14 foot Tributary self bailing raft. This boat is very stable and allows us to get through the tiniest of spaces.
  • For the bigger waters we use a Cataraft with 18 foot pontoons built by Aire. There is plenty of space on this craft and it floats like a cork through the big waves!
The right boat for the float.

Big water, little water, heavy water, soft water…we’re comfortable, nimble and safe.
