More from Bruce Chard on bonefishing in the Bahamas…
“On cloudy days in the Bahamas, bonefish love to tail in inches of water deep into the mangrove jungles. This picture gives you an idea of the many leader-breaking mangrove shrubs that bonefish love to feed around. These mangrove areas are favorites places for snails, crabs, and shrimp to hide and live. Bones know this and head for the shallow bays that are loaded with both grub and mangrove security. Check out below the killer tailing bonefish shot!”

Love this site… Great picture and thanks for sharing your wisdom! I’ve fished for more than 35 years and although I am yet to get the opportunity to cast for a bonefish, I’ve even designed my own fly pattern for them. I’d be honoured if you will test the JLM Special for me. Please let me know if you would be interested in doing so.
Kind regards – Mark

I can’t get enough of this site and every time it pops up in my inbox I hurriedly open it. I especially enjoyed Bruces great information on all the aspects of Bonefishing. I’ve chassed those invisible SOB’s for 30 some years and still learn a lot from do’s and don’ts like Bruce and all the contributors of G&G provide. Keep the good stuff coming as it’s appreciated by a lot of us……Rick Heim
I fished out of Mars Bay Bonefish club several years ago and wondered if Andros South is further down than that….Thanks

Thanks so much Rick – we really appreciate the kind words!
Andros South is located a little further north than Mars Bay – the lodge is in Kemp’s Bay and we keep our boats at the mouth of Little Creek for easy access to the West Side as well as the East and South of the island.
