Deneki Outdoors has announced its newest operation, Chile West, which operates in Southern Chile. We run a mobile fishing trip from Palena to Balmaceda, hitting the hot spots along the Carretera Austral – the ‘highway’ through Southern Chile.

And, in case you’re wondering, Garrett Sullivan, one of our guides, caught this Atlantic Salmon on a certain unspecified river while doing exploratory fishing for the Chile West program in early 2008.
That’s not an Atlantic salmon – it’s an enormous, beautiful brown trout.
Go ahead, check your dichotomous key, and pay attention to the spots on the adipose, the numerous spots on the gill plate, and the mandible in relationship to the eye.
