Warming Up the Outboard

Warming Up the Outboard
Can you feel the anticipation? Photo: Tosh Brown

If you’re a guide at a quality lodge in Alaska, here’s how the morning routine works.

  1. Wake up.
  2. Eat breakfast.
  3. Get your gear ready.
  4. Head down to your boat.
  5. Get things nice and tidy, maybe pump a little water out of the sled, and [if you want your motor to last a long time] warm up the outboard for a couple of minutes.

In today’s photo, Tosh Brown captures step #5 like we’ve never seen it captured before.  Thanks for a great shot, Tosh!
