Travel to Rio Salvaje Lodge is a two-step process.
This is a remote part of the world, but the payoff for the travel is huge!
International Flight to Santiago
The first step of the journey is an international flight to Santiago, the capital of Chile. Many major airlines serve Santiago. These flights typically involve overnight travel. Some guests elect to spend a day or two checking out the sights around Santiago on their way through. We’re happy to make recommendations.
Santiago to Puerto Montt
On arrival in Santiago, guests transfer to a LAN Chile flight from Santiago to Puerto Montt, via modern jet service like any other major airline. The Rio Salvaje crew meets our guests in Puerto Montt, and then the fun begins! We proceed south down the beautiful Chilean coast, stopping in the quaint town of Puerto Vagas for a meal, and then on to the lodge. Toal driving time is around three hours, in new Toyota 4-door pickups with improved tires and suspension for a safe, and comfortable, ride.
Outbound Travel
Your trip with Rio Salvaje ends back in Puerto Montt. Guests fly LAN Chile’s jet service from there back to the international airport in Santiago, and connect there to their international flights back home.
