The Family & Friends Weeks, scheduled for July 18-25 and July 25- August 1, 2025, have made it easier to bring your family members or friends who don’t necessarily want to fish by promising an all-encompassing Alaskan adventure that caters to both avid anglers and nature enthusiasts alike. If you and your family or friends enjoy nature, but not everyone likes to fish, this is the perfect opportunity for you, your family, and your friends.
A Diverse Alaskan Experience

While Rapids Camp Lodge is renowned for its world-class fly fishing, these special weeks are designed to accommodate everyone in your family or friends group, regardless of their interest in casting a line. The lodge’s proximity to Katmai National Park and the Becharof National Wildlife Refuge opens up a world of non-fishing activities that are equally thrilling.
Bear Viewing: Witness the majesty of Alaskan brown bears in their natural habitat. The lodge’s experienced guides will take you to prime viewing locations where you can safely observe these magnificent creatures either fishing or foraging along the riverbanks and trails.
Hiking: Explore the pristine wilderness surrounding the lodge. From gentle nature walks to more challenging treks, there’s a trail for every fitness level.
Kayaking: Experience nature at its finest while traveling down the Naknek River in a Kayak. Cruise through and get back to the lodge for a nice wholesome lunch, or take your time soaking in all the Naknek River’s natural beauty.

$500.00 per day Double Occupancy (one queen bed)
$1000.00 per day Single Occupancy (one queen bed)
Included:
Lodging with full housekeeping services, meals, snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, Full Bar and limited equipment for non-fishing activities, e.g., kayaking and boat trips on the Naknek River.
Not Included:
Charter to/from King Salmon x Anchorage, Fly Outs, and gratuities.
Fly outs Also:
You have the option to purchase a fly-out trip during these. Fly-outs are dependent on weather conditions and availability.
FAQs
What if I booked a fishing trip for myself and want to bring non-anglers with me? That’s Great! This is for you. These rates apply to anyone in your group who doesn’t want to fish. Contact us to add guests to your group (depending on availability).
What I’m angler pays for the full package and wants to bring non anglers? Can they fly on the charter if it’s a full Friday to Friday? If you are an Angler have Non Anglers in your group, the Charter is included for everyone in the group.
What does everyone else do on a fly-out trip while I fish? Our guides will lead them on exploring Bristol Bay’s finest views and terrain, eat lunch, and then return to the plane to meet up with the anglers in the group.
Can I go for four days instead of an entire week? Sure you can! The number of days you can stay is flexible.
How should I pack? Like most trips on any Alaskan Adventure, you should be prepared for any weather. We’ve made it easy by curating a list for you. You can download it HERE.
What if I get there and I do want to fish? We can accommodate that, too. Rate changes and charges can be facilitated while at the Lodge.
What about Fishing Gear? As a Sage Experience Outfitter, we have everything you need, from Rods, Reels, Lines, Waders, and Boots.
