The first week of the Alaska West Lodge season is starting, and the first group of guests will be arriving next week. The 2021 season will be a special one at Alaska West Lodge since 2020 bageled us. But you know what they say “absence makes the heart grow fonder. “
Home of the Alaskan Grand Slam, we’re looking forward to all our guests and staff who’ll be joining us this season. The Kanektok River is truly a special place. Known for its King Salmon run, but is also bountiful with all the Alaskan Salmon. Salmon aren’t the only game in town; the prized Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, and Grayling also call the Kanektok River home. And yes, you can catch each species in one day.
Not only does the Kanektok River have a diverse fish population, but with a the Alaska West Lodge Camp being right on the river, access to prime river spots is great.
Easy access, easy wading and legendary fishing the Kanektok River is one of Alaska’s most treasured watersheds to fish. This is the place where fish stories are made.
With a guide to angler ratio of two to one, full attention is paid to each guest. All our guides and staff are hard-working, seasoned professionals, who are all also excited for the 2021 season. It is going to be a special season in 2021.
