On November 25th, 2020 the Army Corps of Engineers announced their decision to reject the Clean Water Act permit for the Pebble Mine, and we at Deneki Outdoors along with the fish, bears, wolves, eagles, and everyone else who love and appreciate the vast beauty of Bristol Bay, Alaska are thankful.
like a fog lifting on a fly out morning, this is a huge win. With that, we still have to be conscious of future threats that will come up and impact Bristol Bay. We must be diligent and continue to fight and ensure long-term protection.
A huge thank you to Trout Unlimited for your relentless efforts in doing everything you can to protect and save Bristol Bay. And to all others who have supported in protecting Bristol Bay, Alaska we all thank you too. So, in a year that has been very strenuous, let’s all breathe a sigh of relief, take the win and celebrate.
