The Army Corps of Engineers announced yesterday the Pebble Mine project fails to meet the standards of the Clean Water Act and did not issue a permit for the current mining plan. We are very pleased with this news as it becomes a huge challenge for the Pebble Mine project to overcome.
This being said, we’ve only won another round in this fight. We still have to put forth our best effort to make sure the Pebble Mine project is KO’d for good to ensure the protections are in place for the Bristol Bay permanently. Click here for the full update by savebristolbay.org.
