River Etiquette

Be respectful out there. Photo: TU screenshot.

Fly fishing is a fraternity, and the level of camaraderie that can develop between two complete strangers upon learning that each prefers to fish with a fly rod never ceases to impress us. We see it every single week at our lodges and we’re sure you’ve experienced it on your home waters too.

However, sometimes that camaraderie gets forgotten on the water. That’s why we think proper etiquette is extremely important to ensuring everyone’s time on the water is as enjoyable as possible. After all, that’s what fly fishing is all about.

Our good friend, Russ Miller, of Fishpond recently put together a great video for the folks at Trout Unlimited with some tips for proper etiquette when fishing on public rivers that we couldn’t agree more with.

Give it a watch below!
