Today we take a day to celebrate our good friend and long time Alaska West guest, Steve Ward. Steve and several other members of the Ward family joined us for a week on the Kanektok this year, marking his twentieth consecutive year fishing with us. Wow.
But that’s not all.. On the first day of his trip, Steve landed not one, but two salmon grand slams alongside Alaska West guide, Ben West. That’s right, all five species of pacific salmon, all fair hooked, landed within a single day of fishing.. Twice.
