It goes without saying, but time on the water yields plenty of time to ponder, and one thing we’ve noticed throughout countless days of watching other people fish is that good vibes catch more fish.
No, we’re not paraphrasing Thoreau here, or spouting cliches like, “it’s about the journey, not the destination.” On the contrary, we love catching fish. However, ask any fishing guide out there and they’re likely to tell you the same thing – those with a laid back, positive, and optimistic attitude catch more fish. Hands down.
So, the next time the going gets tough, remember they call it ‘fishing’ and not ‘catching’ for a reason (sorry, we had to sneak one more bad cliche in there), relax, turn on the good vibes, and get ready for that next pull.

I couldn’t agree with you more. But to be honest, (now there’s a thought whose time has come), I caught more fish when … well, okay, my wife outfished me, so I married her and that’s all I’m saying about leeches for walleyed pike on Lake Winnibigoshish. That’s why I’m called Fryer Chuck.
