Hurricane Matthew Update

Our thoughts and prayers to all those affected. Photo: Kyle Shea.

As many of you well aware, Hurricane Matthew made landfall on Andros Island as a category three hurricane early Thursday morning.

While the storm was responsible for widespread destruction across the Carribean and Southeastern United States, we’re pleased to report that South Andros weathered the storm favorably, with little foreseeable long term damage.

Most importantly, we have been been informed that our staff, their families, and the rest of our friends on South Andros are safe and out of harm’s way.

While we are eternally grateful for the relative outcome of Hurricane Matthew at Andros South, our thoughts and prayers remain with all those more negatively impacted.

Thank you to all of you who reached out to us over the last few days. We sincerely appreciate it.

So glad to hear that everyone is safe and unharmed. Things can be replaced, people can’t.

A great relief on all fronts. Perhaps a miracle.
