The good folks at the Alaska Department of Fish and Game have recently released their spring edition of ‘Chinook News’ – An online newsletter highlighting current research being conducted on our beloved chinook salmon across the state of Alaska.
This month’s issue focuses on research projects underway on some major Alaska River systems such as the Kenai and Susitna Rivers, as well as some uplifting findings on the Kuskokwim – a nearby river to our stomping grounds at Alaska West.
We care about the well being of king salmon, not only on our fisheries, but throughout their entire native range. We have a feeling many of you do too, so make sure to read up on their current status by checking out the May edition of Chinook News by clicking right here. Or, view past issues on ADF&G’s Chinook News Archive Page.
