All Dressed Up With Lots of Places to Go

Andros South Flats Boats.
All dressed up.. Photos: Kyle Shea.

Over our brief holiday break, we underwent a pretty major rebuild of our fleet of flats boats at Andros South, including three fancy new outboards. We’re really happy how they turned out, and as you can probably tell we’re pretty excited about it!

Come see them for yourself!

That last picture shows a flats boat I have never seen before. Does the caster stand on the bottom instead of the front deck? Looks like a great idea for us geezers with balance problems. The first picture shows a boat with a large front deck. No balance bar. Not optimal in windy weather for a lot of us geezers. What do you do to accommodate us old folks, who probably constitute a very significant percentage of your customers.

I haven’t seen any reference to Jordan lately. Is he still with you?

Hey Sam, great to hear from you! The boat you are referring to has holes in the front deck to fit a lean bar for folks who appreciate the extra support. However, we don’t usually like to run with them in place (for safety reasons) which is why you’re not seeing them in the photo. Most of our guests actually prefer to fish without them as some feel they can get in the way. However, some of the boats in our fleet (including the one in the photo) can take a lean bar to accommodate those who like to fish with them. Thanks for reaching out Sam! Hope all is well,

    Kyle
