Kanektok Sunsets
There are few places in the world where a single sunset can last for more than three hours and be stunningly beautiful through out its entire duration. As the sun lowers in the horizon over the Bering Sea in Southwest Alaska, light is reflected back into the atmosphere, seeming to double its intensity. The refracted colors, so vibrant against the sky and clouds, will send you racing for your camera.
With any luck you’ll see one of these panoramas on any given summer week – that is, if you can stay up long enough to catch it after fishing a full day!
