Last month we ran a post about a bonefish fly created by Kyle Shea at Andros South. Kyle called the fly the ‘Shrimptruder’ and tied it in the same shape as an Intruder steelhead fly.
This wasn’t meant to be a serious, innovative kind of move – we were really just having fun with tying, taking a profile from one fishery and applying it in another. Guess what…it worked really well! Guess what else…a lot of you got in touch asking for detailed instructions on tying the Shrimptruder.
We’re happy to oblige! Here’s a video of Kyle tying the Shrimptruder, start to finish.
Have fun with it!
