Practicing Before Your Trip

Fly Fishing Lessons TV
Scroll down to watch.

This is not the first time we’ve run a post about why and how to practice casting before your trip.  That’s because we think it’s a great idea to … practice your casting before your trip.

Today’s guest post comes from the Steve and the folks at Fly Fishing Lessons tv.  Thanks, gentlemen.

Make sure you scroll down for the video – there are some great tidbits in there!

Practicing Before Your Trip

Looking forward to fishing trips is part of the fun. Excitement builds, as days, weeks and sometimes months pass, during countdown to your special escape. As part of this process, it’s both fun and highly recommended that you spend time practicing your casting.

We’ve all made the same excuses at some point “we are too busy to practice casting before a holiday”. Then endured the frustration of blowing excellent fishing opportunities, particularly during those initial days of fishing.

Here are our three top reasons to practice your fly casting pre-trip: –

1) Gain maximum pleasure from your long awaited fly fishing trip!

2) Scratch an itch when you don’t have time to fish. Just fifteen minutes one to three times a week can make a huge difference to your casting. You can do this anywhere, watch the video.

3) Advance your fly fishing ability forever! Making your improvements permanent means your future fishing will be all the more productive. At least from the perspective you can put the fly where you want it.

Where do I start you say? Check out this video for a start. Then tune in at Fly Fishing Lessons TV to benefit from many more.
