Our 5th group of the year once again included a stable of regulars as well as a couple of new Dean River first-timers.
With the weather cooling off significantly, the river continued its summer drop and clarity improved almost too much. The last few summer Chinooks arrived as well as more and more Steelhead.
Our inter-tidal zone fishing seem to shift more up-river and the upper beat above the falls really started to bang out fish. The Dean River rookies were treated to multiple fish days and now see what all the fuss is about.
Dry fly opportunities increased as well as a move to smaller flies for upper river fish who reacted to the clearing water with some hesitant takes.
Rob Masonis, Steven Brutger, Bill Suggs, Tom Levandoski, Stuart Alsop and Steve Busch all enjoyed a great weather, fishing and good time.
