Wow.
When we announced our “complete this sentence” contest for a free Alaska Grand Slam t-shirt, we never would have guessed that we’d get 86 responses. Thanks so much to everyone who participated.
It was really, really hard to pick a winner. In the end we had to go with Abe Sorom, who have us this incredibly poetic gem.
I want to fish in Alaska this summer “. . . because: the tug, the drug, the mouse, the bow…the early chrome riding the melted snow, the cast, the swing, the pause, the grin–a thousand times for the silver fin; Oncorhynchus on the Western coast, five usual suspects and a silver ghost; all dialed in, waist deep in a run, the lure of the chase, land of the midnight sun.”
Awesome, Abe! Your shirt’s on its way.
By the way, we’re expecting to have these shirts available for sale on our web site in a week or two – so if you missed out, you’ll have another chance real soon.
Thanks again for all the great comments!
