Free Sage Xi3 Setup, Anyone?

Everyone who is signed up for our weekly newsletter on June 25 has a shot at winning a (very slightly used) Sage 890-4 Xi3 rod, a Sage 6080 reel and a matching Rio Tropical Clouser line.  Really?  Really.

If you’ve been reading our blog over the past few weeks you haven’t been able to get away from the fact that we held an event at Andros South last week called FIBFest.  We invited some folks who write about fly fishing online to join us for a week chasing bonefish and other critters at Andros South.  Everybody wrote about it online.  We had great support from our friends at Sage, Rio, Smith, Simms and more.  We also had a ton of fun.

Among other gear we had at our disposal, Sage and Rio were nice enough to let us play with

• A Sage 890-4 Xi3 – the 8 weight rod in the new Xi3 saltwater series, and a go-to choice for any situation where a fast-action 8 weight is in order.
• A Sage 6080 reel – the matching high-end reel from Sage that we really like for its bombproof drag, simple design and light weight.
• An 8 weight Rio Tropical Clouser – a saltwater line with a short head and a heavy front taper that we love for bonefish on South Andros.

• Look to the upper right for the area that says ‘Weekly Dose of Fishing’.  Enter your email address and click the ‘Submit’ button.
• You’re not done yet!  When you receive an email asking you to confirm your subscription, click the confirmation link in the email to complete the signup process.

The Rules

• We’ll select the number at random from our weekly newsletter subscribers on June 25, 2010.  If you’re already receiving our newsletter, don’t worry – you’re already entered in the drawing.
• The prize is a Sage 890-4 Xi3 rod, a Sage 6080 reel and a Rio Tropical Clouser line in an 8 weight, shipped to you at no charge.
• Only one entry per person.
• Only confirmed suscribers will be entered – readers who don’t click the subscription link in our confirmation email will not be entered.
• To be eligible, you must be subscribed on June 25, 2010.
• You can unsubscribe if you like after June 25th, but if you like to fly fish, we’re betting you’re going to like reading our newsletter each week.
