Today marks the first day of our season at BC West on the Dean River. We’ll just lay it out there – we’re pretty fired up. Our guests arrive today via helicopter charter from Bella Coola, and lines will get wet this afternoon.
Over the past 6 weeks our crew has been hard at work repairing roofs, replacing foundations, building docks, stocking food (and drink!), test-fishing the river and landscaping landscaping. And you thought all we did was sit around and tie flies.
We’ll be fishing for those chrome sea monsters knows as Dean River chinooks for our first week or two, and by the time we’re much into July we’ll be catching the legendary Dean River steelhead as well. We’re really looking forward to hosting our guests this season, and we’ll do our best to keep you posted over the next few months.
